For WHO\u2019S SPEAKING? M\u00fcller has conceived new versions of two figures \u2013 Hermes and Hermaphroditos \u2013 who weave a web of references and connections between the individual works, and accompany the viewer throughout the exhibition. As the voice in a new sound installation, the protagonist of a video, or as a figurative sculpture that reverses the relationship between work and viewer, these two figures from Greek mythology appear in both expected and unexpected places, and link the content of the exhibition\u2019s two floors formally.

Michael M\u00fcllers<\/a> erste institutionelle Einzelausstellung WER SPRICHT?<\/a> bringt Werke der vergangenen Jahre mit eigens f\u00fcr die Ausstellung entwickelten Neuproduktionen zusammen, die sich auf unterschiedliche Weise der Frage nach k\u00fcnstlerischer Autorschaft stellen.<\/p>\n

\u201eWer spricht?\u201c bedeutet aus M\u00fcllers Perspektive auch: \u201eWas wird gesagt?\u201c und \u201eWarum wird gesprochen?\u201c; aber auch \u201eWer h\u00f6rt zu?\u201c Die gezeigten Arbeiten gehen immer wieder neu von der Frage aus, inwieweit ein K\u00fcnstler in seinen Werken selbst sichtbar wird. Jedes einzelne Werk verortet sich im Spannungsverh\u00e4ltnis von Anwendung oder Umformung historischer wie gegenw\u00e4rtiger k\u00fcnstlerischer Codes und den pers\u00f6nlichen Obsessionen des K\u00fcnstlers<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
